The technology changing the way we shop – improving the customer experience.

On November 4, 2020, the Today Show aired a story titled “‘The technology changing the way we shop” the story was filed by Nine Reporter Lara Vella and featured Technology Expert Trevor Longs.

In my capacity as Chief Customer and Marketing Officer for Volkswagen Group Australia, I was fortunate enough to be included in the interview.

Volkswagen Australia, in late October, launched a project called ‘The Smallest Dealership’ it leveraged Augmented Reality to provide people with the opportunity to experience (try-on if you will) the new Volkswagen T-Cross and T-Roc from the comfort of their lounge room (or anywhere really).

The motivation behind the new augmented reality tool is to make it more convenient, easier for customers to experience the product, and to give them greater confidence in purchasing immediately online.

I have long been an advocate for technology making the experience of customers and team members alike, easier, seamless, and yes more efficient.
